PUBG Mobile sempat merilis barang premium berupa senjata dan topeng yang cukup keren dua pekan lalu. Namun, ada sesuatu yang membuat banyak orang kesal oleh barang premium ini dan pada akhirnya senjata topeng ini dihapus. Mengapa hal ini dapat terjadi?

Hal ini terjadi karena banyak pemain yang berpendapat bahwa senjata dan topeng ini mengandung simbol ofensif. Diketahui, menurut laporan Android Authority, terdapat lambang yang diduga mirip Tentara Imperialis Jepang pada zaman Perang Dunia II.
Lambang yang dimaksud dalam bundle PUBG Mobile ini adalah Rising Sun miliki Tentara Imperialis pada masa penjajahan dulu.
Para pemain beranggapan bahwa lambang tersebut menyakitkan hati beberapa negara di Asia yang jadi korban penjajahan Jepang dulu. Setelah ada reaksi keras dari para pemain di Korea, PUBG Corp. akhirnya melakukan refund serta menarik bundle tersebut dan mengklaimnya sebagai "bug yang tidak terduga" menurut Bzit.
Selain itu, terdapat pula AI Bot yang diberi nama sebagai "Unit 731". Hal tersebut juga menarik reaksi yang sama. Nama tersebut merupakan sebuah unit rahasia yang digunakan Tentara Imperialis Jepang untuk eksperimen pada tahanan perang dari tentara Sekutu.
Setelah kedua hal tersebut terjadi PUBG Corp. membuat pernyataan "Kami akan membuat prosedur untuk meneliti item - item yang akan dirilis dan membuat orang yang mendevelopnya untuk bertanggung jawab" menurut Kotaku.
